It was a race against time to find the perfect house for my clients!

Updated: Mar 12

A young family, relocating from the West Coast contacted me several months ago to let me know that they would have one week to house hunt in January.  When they arrived for the house hunt we had our work cut out for us.  With few houses on the market and not much time, I had to think on my feet.  Our search area started in University Park, Hyattsville and College Park.  After touring nearly 10 houses that weren't perfect, we realized that we needed to expand our horizons so I suggested Cheverly and, ultimately, Beltsville.  When we stepped into this charming, Cape Cod I saw by the look on my clients' faces that this was the house for them.  They loved the sunny open floor plan on the main level and perfectly renovated kitchen with a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.  I think it is the most successful kitchen renovation in a Cape Cod style house.  If you are thinking about taking a wall out between your kitchen and dining room, this is the way to do it!  They also loved the large living room with a wood burning fireplace and the family room with windows on three sides and views down the valley.  With three bedrooms upstairs and a fully finished basement with a guest room, there was plenty of room to spread out.   Beltsville is a great Route One Corridor community just north of the College Park.  This particular house is close to Costco, grocery stores, restaurants like Milk & Honey Cafe, and Yia Yia's, the green line metro, UMD, NASA, USDA, 495 & 95. If you are looking for a new home, this is a town worth exploring!
